13.09.2007 - Halyk Bank, Kazakhstan selects CR2’s BankWorld Multichannel solution

BankWorld to drive ATM, Internet and Kiosk channels for Halyk Bank

Dublin, 13th September 2007. CR2, a global provider of multi-channel banking software solutions and Halyk Bank the largest retail bank in Kazakhstan, have today announced that the bank have selected BankWorld, CR2’s industry leading multichannel self-service solution. Halyk has chosen BankWorld to manage the banks entire self service channels including ATM, Internet, Kiosk and mobile.

Halyk Bank recent winner of The Banker’s, “Best Retail Bank in Central Asia” has almost 6 million customers throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan. The banks decision to adopt BankWorld across all channels will greatly enhance its channel offering and provide customers with a unique and personalised self service banking experience. “We selected BankWorld following an extensive review of the market, comments Alibek Junisbayev, Managing Director, Halyk Bank. CR2’s leading solution enables us for the first time to deliver personalised products and services to customers across all channels.  This will open up opportunities for efficient cross-selling whilst dramatically increasing customer satisfaction through personalised functionalities and services.”

The signing of Halyk Bank came at the end of what was a very successful fiscal year for CR2. The company continued its pattern of strong growth and successful penetration into new markets. License sales were up by 40% on the previous year and the company added new name customers to its client list in Europe, Russia, Central South East Asia, Africa and the Middle East. CR2’s BankWorld Internet sites have more than doubled in the past year with several more clients expected to go live later this year.
