Citizens of the Arab Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) member states do not need a visa.
Citizens of the following countries (amongst others) can obtain a free visa on arrival at passport control, valid for 60 days:
- UK, Ireland and most EU countries
- USA
- Singapore
- Hong Kong
- Australia
- Japan

Citizens of countries that are not mentioned above should obtain their visit (also called a tourist) visa via the hotel you are staying in. You will need to complete a visa application form and submit it to the hotel along with some relevant pages from your passport. The hotel can then apply for the visa on your behalf. The charge for the Visa is Dhs 100 (US $28). Hotels may also add a charge for this service. The hotel must deposit your tourist visa at the airport immigration at least one hour before your flight's arrival. There is a processing cost of Dhs 10 (US$3).
